Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, a member of the popular Gqom band Big Nuz, will be buried in Durban on Friday. Before leaving for the burial, his loved ones will meet for a funeral procession in the morning at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli ICC in Durban.

 

 

A video of Mampintsha’s maternal family members making noise, fighting and insulting his wife, Babes Wodumo, angered a lot of people on Twitter.

IOL journalist, Sihle Mavuso posted the video on his Twitter account, with this caption, “WATCH: It looks like Mampintsha’s funeral will be marred by war of words between those from his mother’s side in KwaMashu and the family of Babes Wodumo. Apparently this unnecessary drama unfolded outside the mortuary earlier today.”

@Susan98548235 left this comment on the tweet, “This is sad to see women fighting instead of praying for the young widow and the child in this trying times. She is still, yes they might have drama in the relationship but that doesn’t warrant a drama to the funerals. Atleast respect Mampintsha body.”
