Mzansi in after Mangwabe tells her mother that she div0rced Mseleku, Here’s Why

In the last episode of Uthando Nesthembu, MaNgwabe admitted that she is not ready to get married to Musa Mseleku, nor is she ready to move forward with the Umembezo ceremony. She added that she is not ready to start a family.

MaNgwabe stated that she is not prepared since she has certain personal matters that must be addressed first. That’s why she’s not quite prepared yet. She went home to talk to her mom about why she couldn’t join Umembezo just yet: she’s still dealing with some personal concerns.

“Mthombeni said he is ready to do the Umembezo ritual now,” MaNgwabe recalled, “but then I told him I wasn’t ready for Umembezo.” Her parents were initially taken aback by her announcement that she had come to visit because she wanted to discuss Umbembezo. However, when she politely declined and explained her decision to them,

As MaNgwabe had suggested, they should repair the house first before doing Umembezo, and this seems to be the consensus. After she told them there were issues that needed to be resolved before they could do Umembezo, they agreed to her terms.

It was possible that MaNgwabe had spoken before her turn, but she was afraid her parents would make her finish the ceremony nonetheless. Maybe I spoke up too soon, and they were going to suggest we do it again at my mom’s house. The reason I came here,” MaNgwabe said, “was to find out if I was wrong by saying that.”

“No, you are not incorrect,” MaNgwabe’s mother said. “We are still building the family house.”

The fact that MaNgwabe said they are still constructing means that Umembezo is not going to happen anytime soon. I think MaNgwabe is doing the right thing by postponing the Umembezo since she feels there are problems on her end that still need to be fixed.

We shouldn’t rush through umembezo just because it’s an essential task. To properly prepare for the Umembezo, she should address all of her own personal issues, in my opinion.
