Thuli Madonsela Commented On The Phalaphala Report And This Is What She Said

The Phala Phala report is being debated left right and center. Some protecting Cyril Ramaphosa while some are saying that he should just step aside. We have seen that many people have been asked to weigh in on this matter and amongst other, it was Thuli Madonsela the former public protector. But even before she could say anything, many already knew that she was going to be on the side of Ramaphosa.

We know that Thuli Madonsela has been very critical when it comes to former president Jacob Zuma and has always criticized everything Zuma has done. This is just why many believe that if it was Zuma who was in this position of having stashed millions of US dollars in his sofa, he was going to interpret the law differently.

Thuli Madonsela has indicated how he is so disappointed about the way that the former justice has failed to apply the law when giving out the report on the Phala Phala saga. She went on and on about how she is the lecturer at Stellenbosch university and lecturing about constitutional laws. And this could mean that she knows more about the constitutional laws than the former constitutional Chief Justice. She says that Section 34 imposes a duty to report the corrupt transaction and not a failure to report a crime in your home

A lot of people had a lot to say about this as they feel like all she was doing was just protecting Ramaphosa, and it was just disappointing coming from her but not surprising at all. It is something that has been expected of her.
