Actress Sonia Mbele has been caught up in a storm after her son, Donnel was accused of rape and abuse. The actress decided to release a statement regarding the issue and she did not defend her son.

Sonia explained that she was not aware of her son’s abuse and had treated her son’s girlfriend as a daughter. She also said she had been helping her in the entertainment industry. She expressed support for her and wishes she had come to her. She wishes she had done more to prevent the abuse and has a lot of regret.
 

 

Being a victim of domestic abuse before, she despairs that her son has turned out to be an abuser like his father. She stresses that Donnel must take responsibility for his actions and she hopes the law will take its course.
