Generations Actor Mpho Molepo Gives Young People A Platform To Showcase Their Talents

Mpho J Molepo is one of the long standing actors with his career spanning from the early 90’s on Isidingo. He then went on to be casted as Dr Benedict in SABC 2’s Huis van Liefde. Molepo is currently playing the character of Kabisi Moroka on Generations: The Legacy (this is the role that cemented his name on the industry). Besides spending time with his family on his spare time, he is busy opening up the industry for those that lack the means to showcase their talents on a bigger stage. He has recently had an amazing show at the Alex Youth Festival which he founded a couple of years ago. “I want to see talent grow around the country, that’s why i have been involved in the drafting of theater policies with the intention to change the arts landscape” – he said when interviewed by Daily Sun. Mpho is also part of the community arts development which has helped a lot that wants to get into acting.

The show has been a success

“A lot of people showed up to support different acts, it was very positive and overwhelming”. He also pointed out that due to limited funds, they unfortunately have to put limits to the amount of groups were allowed to perform. For young and upcoming actors, he advised them to remain true to themselves and keep on pushing those boundaries.
