Shoki Mmola is a South African actress best known for her role as Cylia Kunutu (MaKunutu) on SABC 1 drama Skeem Saam. Besides acting, she is a Sangoma (traditional healer). She opened up about her calling a few years ago where she stated that she graduated as a registered traditional healer meaning she can now issue sick notes to those who come to her for consultation.
During that period she also had concerns, she admitted that she was worried that her calling would have a negative impact on her practice and career. She said she thought no one would take her serious because a lot of celebrities are doing it.
It’s clear that the actress has overcome her worries because, she now fully embraces her gift as a healer even on social media. This was proved when she shared a picture of her self proudly wearing her traditional healing outfit on Instagram.
