One of Mzansi’s favourite show is coming back to screens with a new season to continue telling a story of Zulu brothers and their partners.

The Wife is a South African telenovela that comes from books written by author, Dudu Busani-Dube. The show tells the story of eight Zulu brothers involving their criminal activities and relationships. It has different seasons focusing on different brothers. The first season focused on Hlomu and Mqhele in real life being Mbali Mavimbela and Bonko Khoza. Meanwhile, the second season focused on Khanyi Mbau and Mondli Makhoba using different names on the season. The third season will tell a story of Naledi and Qhawe being the other brother and will be on air from the 10th of November.

 

 

Speaking about the new upcoming season, Kwenzo Ncgobo who plays the role of Qhawe Zulu said “I can’t wait for people to watch this season because it is all about Naledi and Qhawe. Their love will be tested as Naledi’s father does not want her to marry a Tswana man as she is set to take over his duties when he retires”.

“Her father does not like Qhawe. I don’t want to say more but a lot of drama is coming your way”, Kwenzo added.

He further said that it will be the last season of The Wife and after it, he will be going back to what he has been doing which is being in theatre.

It is good that the new season is coming with a couple being tested. There are many people out there struggling to be together because of their parents not approving their partners. The season will surely teach them how to deal with the situation and be with the person that they want to be with looking at Naledi and Qhawe’s situation.
