She performed on Sugar Shack a television talent show in 1981 and she was the first black child to appear on SA TV. She was discovered by Phil Hollis of Dephon Records i in 1985 when she was 19 years of age

She first burst into the music scene with the album I’m in love with the DJ featuring The Stones. She has since released more albums compilations and best of albums in her years in music industry.
