Tragically, Vuyolwethu Donashe lost her husband, Ndumiso, and their two children, Siyamdumisa, 14, and Sidumise, 10, in a car accident.
They will be laid to rest in Zwelitsha, Qonce, at this time.
After qualifying in Gqeberha in June for the next stage of auditions for the International Arts Talent Showcase, Siyamdumisa and her family were on their way to Johannesburg to cheer her on at the final phase of competition.
Unfortunately, at around 6am on September 30th, the sisters and Ndumiso were killed in an accident with a Mitsubishi Pajero on the N1 South from Bloemfontein at Tierspoort.
Sergeant Peter Kareli, the police department’s spokesman, stated that a case of murder by criminal negligence was being investigated.
Just the other day, Dona, a 40-year-old
According to her 30-year-old sister, Nomahlubi Stamper, she was still struggling to accept her loss.
She [Donashe] is upset; in fact, she is so heartbroken that she cannot find the words to describe how she feels. Stamper remarked, “She’s in disbelief, but we’re putting our faith in the Lord. It hurts, but we’re putting our faith in him.
She explained that Misa’s happiness at having reached this round of the tournament had sparked the family’s enthusiasm for the road trip.
She also mentioned that Misa’s parents were both singers in the Qonce Methodist Church and that the entire family enjoyed music. Misa herself has a YouTube channel where she posts her original compositions.
We are a musical family; she sang in the Cornerstone Assembles of God youth chorus and in her school choir. At all times, she would hum to herself. Once she was home from class, she’d sit down at the piano.
In her own words, “She informed us she could not wait to display her talent in Johannesburg.
She was a cheerful, selfless kid who worried a lot about her pals.
Although his sister was more outgoing than he was, my nephew never hesitated to call me mum. He’s a gamer and used to invite me to watch him play. Stamper remarked, “He also played with his dad and gave the best hugs.”
She spoke well of her brother-in-law, praising him as a devoted family man.
On October 3, teachers and parents gathered outside the school’s gate to lay flowers, notes of condolence, and photos in memory of the victims of the tragedy, as reported by Harvest Christian School’s deputy principal, Sally Bezuidenhout.
On October 11, teachers and students at the elementary and secondary schools conducted a memorial service to remember the two students who had recently passed away.
The school wrote, “Siyamdumisa (Misa) and Sidumise (Koko) were courteous, kind, sensitive, exceptional children who loved the Lord and Harvest school.
Their sunny disposition and infectious laughter will be sorely missed. Tuesday brought a sense of calm to the campus; the memorial ceremony was deeply moving but ultimately reassuring to those in attendance.
