We can’t ignore that Jacob Zuma has said he’s afraid the police are after him, which has to make him worry about his kids, and that he can’t seem to get away from his pursuers.
Given that he was arrested and then released for no apparent reason, he is essentially immune to prosecution, and it seems unlikely that the various courts will be able to fulfill their goals in this matter.
Those who still oppose him and want for his collapse are moving quickly to ensure he is dealt with severely; they don’t appear to be giving up lightly, either, as they keep dragging him to court, where he has been unsuccessful so far.
Seeing as how VBS can’t take Jacob Zuma’s multimillion-rand Nkandla estate, it’s reasonable to say that he came out on top. After all, it appears his adversaries would want nothing more than to see him and his sixty-person family forced to live in a tent.
Even though he has an outstanding loan obligation of R7.8 million that he appears unable to pay, we understand that Jacob Zuma’s huge power and authority do not come in the form of funds, so those who were ready to aid him cannot do so with finances.
The Nkandla home of former president Jacob Zuma will not be among the assets liquidators for VBS Mutual Bank can confiscate thanks to a court judgment. Many people were devastated by this news, but at least Zuma will be spared.
