Mnakwethu is a rather convoluted show that revolves around men revealing to their wives that they are cheating and trying to push those women to becoming their second wives. The approach used is often jarring and involves Musa Mseleku coming with cameras to women’s homes to help husbands declare this.
This is likely one of the reasons that viewers find him to be an unreliable source for advise. This week the Mnakwethu: Tell All was drawing to a close when he was asked to tell us his closing thoughts on the season. He expressed that being men didn’t mean that they had to be womanizers.
It brushed viewers, and myself, the wrong way. Mseleku is known for being an adventurous man. His escapades are properly captured on his show Uthando Nes’thembu and depict him having girlfriends on top of having 4 wives! Surely someone like that should stay quite far away from ostracizing others?
This is what viewers had to say about his advice.
One viewer wrote, “Mseleku is self confessed cheater, he even said he has girlfriends in one of the episodes of uthando nesithembu, he is the last person to give advice about womanizers. #Mnakwethu”
While another viewer wrote, “Mseleku is speaking sense except he is also moes dating other women outside of his home đ đżââď¸đ đżââď¸So nje what is what?? #Mnakwethu”
One viewer wrote, “Being a man doesnât mean being a womanizerâ this probably the only true thing Mseleku has ever said #Mnakwethu”
A final viewer wrote, “The same Mseleku who has izancinza (girlfriends) lol #Mnakwethu”
