South African actress Thuso Mbedu is already making appearances promoting a new movie called The Woman King, in which she will be acting alongside popular American actress Viola Davis.
She became the first South African to make an appearance on The View, an American talk show hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines and it was just blood-rushing and amazing to see her. She fits in so well and her life is just as changed as well.Thuso Mbedu makes an appearance on the US show “The View”
Popular Twitter commentator Phil Mphela also announced Thuso’s appearance on The View and mentioned her as the first black South African actress to be a guest on the show.
“TV: Thuso Mbedu on The View. Thuso makes history as the first black South African actress to be a guest on the iconic American talk show. Mbedu and her co-stars visited the ladies of The View to promote their new movie”, Phil tweeted.
@ThapeloMakofan4 congratulated Thuso and tweeted, “Big up Thuso we are proud as a nation but I hate it when I see or hear the words ‘the first black South African’ this and that makes us that we never grow is being too long now”.
One thing that Thuso was dragged for was her accent. South Africans came for her and dragged her for it. Comments on her accent came through on Twitter.
@lucky_gwija said, “Truly amazing. I noticed that the American accent is slowly creeping in. Akasemhle ke naye uThuso”.Thuso later defended herself and revealed that the reason why her accent is changing is that she has been hanging out with people with the same accent everywhere and she is adapting.
@Stylecandii said, “Nomzamo and Bonang must be kicking themselves for still trying to break into the market. Thuso has mastered the art of branding herself well in America and moved silently”.
Congratulations to Thuso for successfully making a name for herself in the American industry. We cannot wait to see The Woman King movie and more of what Thuso has in store for us.
