A third witness in the Senzo Meyiwa case has returned to the stand for a second day of testimony, during which he detailed the events leading up to Meyiwa’s death in the hospital.

Tumelo Madlala claims that Kelly Khumalo, Senzo Meyiwa’s girlfriend, was the one operating the vehicle during the time they took the soccer star to the hospital. He claims to recall Zandi Khumalo berating Kelly for going over speed bumps on the way to the clinic.

 

 

 

Meyiwa was shot, and according to the witness, blood was gushing out of the wound through a small hole in his shirt. The witness bases this assumption on the fact that there were bloody newspapers on the seat.

The medical staff allegedly delivered a wheelchair instead of a stretcher when Tumelo Madlala and his companions arrived at the facility.

A nurse carrying an x-ray image finally showed up. She then made a request to talk to an elder, at which point Kelly Khumalo’s mother volunteered.

Tumelo stated that after speaking with the nurses, Kelly’s mom sobbed and told them that Senzo was dead

“At some point, a nurse walked in, carrying an x-ray image. She then prompted Kelly’s mum to step forward, aging her to be the old volunteer she was looking for. Everyone started sobbing when Kelly’s mom sobbedly broke the news that Senzo had passed away “As he put it.

The resolution of this issue has been delayed for a long time, and many people are anxious for it to finally be addressed. Some have also called on Kelly Khumalo’s mother and sister to speak out and offer their own accounts of what happened on that tragic day.

The eyewitness claims he questioned Meyiwa upon entering the room if this was what the soccer star had called him to see. He claims that he gave the legend a forehand kiss as the nurses requested them to depart.
