Musa Mseleku gained popularity from the hit reality series titled Uthando Nesthembu. It has aired for 3 good seasons with a possibility for another one. On some of the episodes we have seen his eagerness to take another wife that will bare kids for him since Thobile is out of the equation. Talking to TimesLive, Musa has pointed out that he has tried to call out collective meetings with hopes that his wives will finally accept his request. We have witnessed some of the wives including Makhumalo threatening him that if he goes ahead and take another wife, that will be the end of their marriage. Musa futher stated that his strategy is to keep on presenting the same thing in different ways so that they can eventually get where he is coming from.

Why does he need permission from them?

“If it was the olden days, i would have long introduced the 5th wife” – he said. It seems like Musa is invested to the idea of modern-day polygamy. This means that all his decisions that will possibly affect the other wives must involve them. In the past all he needed to do was to tell the first wife but that’s not how it works. Everyone must be involved which is one of the major reasons why he hasn’t been able to get another wife.
