South African actress Winnie Ntshaba is best known for her work in the SABC 1 show Generations. She didn’t become successful until Yesterday, while she debuted in the 2000s.
The birth of Ntshaba took place on September 1, 1975, in Kwa-Zulu Natal. She looks up to her older sister, who encouraged her to continue her education.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama with Highest Honours from the University of Natal in Durban.
After relocating to Johannesburg in 2000, she became involved with AREPP Shoe String Productions, performing in educational and industrial theater productions. Soon after, in 2004, she starred as a lead in the TV drama Jozi Streets.
When casting the 2004 picture Yesterday, which starred Leleti Khumalo, Ntshaba was brought in as a supporting actress. Reviewers praised her performance in her breakout film role.
Ntshaba landed her first major part in Claire Stopford’s drama Shreds and Dreams (2004). Additionally, she went on to star in three.
