As the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial goes on, more and more people want Kelly Khumalo to be taken off the air. Angry South Africans on Twitter have taken it a step further by imagining her in jail. Over the years, the singer has had to deal with a lot of criticism on social media. But cyber attacks have gotten worse this week after defense attorney Dan Teffo said that the star was the person who killed her boyfriend, who was a soccer star.
Senzo Meyiwa was shot and killed on October 26, 2014, in the home of Kelly Khumalo’s mom in Vosloorus. Kelly and five other adults who were there say that Senzo’s death was caused by a failed robbery, but many South Africans don’t believe them.See the source image
TWEEPS PHOTOSHOP KELLY KHUMALO IN JAIL
Advocate Teffo’s shocking statements in the Pretoria High Court on June 1 made Kelly Khumalo’s name trend on Twitter again. Many people have said that she should stop making music, and some have even said that she should “confess” to the murder. Others, like the Twitter troll “Rumani,” have put photoshopped images of Kelly Khumalo in jail cells.
Others have done the same.

Friday, June 3, is the end of yet another day, and policeman Sergeant Thabo Mosia is still on the stand. South Africans are wondering who will be next. Advocate Teffo brought up a mystery eyewitness, and many people on Twitter have asked who that person is. The Sowetan says that Mosia was questioned for hours and spent nine days in the witness box.
The lawyer for four of the five men who are accused of killing Senzo Meyiwa in an alleged hit said that the men are just being used as a “scapegoat.” He said in court on Wednesday, “I say to you that a witness will come and say that Nonhlanhla Kelly Khumalo shot Senzo Robert Meyiwa by accident.” The same eyewitness will say that Longwe Twala gave Kelly Khumalo the gun she used, which is a revolver.See the source image
It’s not clear who the witness will be or when he or she will speak.
Magdalene Moonsamy, Kelly Khumalo’s lawyer, said that the singer is ready to testify if and when she is called. Kelly and the five adults who were there when the shooting happened, including her mother Ntombi, her sister Zandie Khumalo and her boyfriend Longwe Twala, and two of Senzo’s other friends, Tumelo Madladla and Mthokozisi Thwala, have been named as suspects in the murder on a recently found second 2019 police docket.
Moonsamy told eNCA on Thursday that Kelly Khumalo had told her that she was “going to break the silence.” She went on: “She’s sure of herself. Kelly is a person with a lot of spirit. You don’t get to that level without building your character.
