If this is the kind of lifestyle that actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo can afford, then it really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anybody that the Gucci costume she was wearing cost more than R84 000, should it?

 

This morning, there was a post about Thuli’s recent outfits that was shared on social media, and it showed the items that she wore.

And someone conducted some research to find out how much everything costs, including the bag, and it turns out that the outfit costs tens of thousands of dollars to purchase altogether.

As soon as people saw this, the replies rushed in, and it was clear that they were not in a celebratory mood. It is estimated that it is more than R84 000.

People have commented that this is what the majority of these celebrities do with their money, that is, they spend it on all of these costly brands in the beginning of their careers, and then later in their careers, they seek for contributions.

People pointed out all of the things that Thuli might have done instead of spending that much money on clothing, jewelry, and bags; however, other people believed that this was unjust to Thuli since it is her money that she is spending on these things.

And in addition to that, there are a lot of other celebrities that spend a lot of money on their clothing, even more money than Thuli did on her dress.

People have pointed out that this became a subject because it is Thuli, and that if it were someone else, there probably would not have been as much dramatization about it.

Others had the suspicion that the Gucci garments were counterfeits, and that she had most likely purchased them from a prominent boutique in Joburg known as “Small Street.”

However, a person who is acquainted with the brands can readily discern the difference between the two, and Thuli has no incentive to do so.

As we have seen, she is succeeding in her professional life, and it is reasonable to infer that her enterprises are also flourishing, which would indicate that she is raking in a significant amount of revenue.

Someone stated that regular people support persons like Thuli, but that those people don’t really go out of their way to help students with their financial obligations.

It may be argued that not all famous individuals are above lending a hand to those in need, and the fact that we are unaware of any financial aid that Thuli may have provided to others does not indicate that she has never done so in the past.

Again, she has put in a lot of effort to get to this point, and she is in no way obligated to do anything to appease those who feel as if they are entitled to anything.
