The masses have been glued to the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial and its outcomes so his family can find closure and that the culprit that is behind the murder of the former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper is behind bars.
This murder trial has been dragging on for years and the five suspects who are alleged to be behind the murder have pled their innocence. A lot of people are interested to see what else will defense attorney Advocate Malesela Teffo unveil and whether his strategy and so-called homework will bring any results.
According to several reports, Advocate Teffo says that there is an eyewitness who will gladly testify that songstress Kelly Khumalo is behind Meyiwa’s murder and that she shot him by mistake.
Furthermore, he has revealed that the people in the house during Meyiwa’s death knew that he had already passed away when they took him to the hospital and that the five accused are being used as scapegoats. He adds that Meyiwa was killed by the people in the house, hence they decided to clean the crime scene.
The advocate further says that the revolver that was used in the crime scene was brought to Kelly’s home by Chicco Twala’s son, Longwe.
While these latest revelations have shocked the public, the masses believe that Advocate Teffo has to be protected and that no harm should come his way because he is instrumental in ensuring that the truth comes out. On the other hand, some are standing with Khumalo and are believing in her innocence.
Opinion
Teffo is doing a steering job and one can only hope that what happened the night Meyiwa was killed will be exposed soon. If the police arrested one of the people that was in the house, the real killer could have been unmasked.
