After he stopped playing football, the former Kaizer Chiefs center midfielder spent most of his coaching career as the head coach of the U17 team at his old club and as an assistant coach for the senior team.
As of late, the former football player who is now a football analyst at SABC Sport has kept his personal life out of the spotlight because he has been so busy. But the 54-year-old retired footballer is also a family man, just like most of his peers in the business.
Monday, Doctor Khumalo’s Namibian ex-wife Blanche Garises, who works as a Candidate Property Practitioner at Chas Everitt, posted a video to her Instagram stories in which she was seen out with their son Diego. From the video shared on the popular platform, it looks like the former flight attendant was giving the young boy advice about how important it is to go to school.
Since then, we’ve been able to find out that Diego, who is now in his early teens, is no stranger to the spotlight. In his early years, when he was just a toddler, he was on the cover of Drum magazine. He was there with his parents during their happy days as a family, before they got a divorce that everyone knew about.
A few years later, Diego Khumalo also made headlines when he was caught with his father and went to tell the police that he is a striker in football and wants to play professionally.
