RIP: Another Popular Gospel Singer Is Gone. May Her Soul Rest In Peace

The multiple-award-winning gospel singer Deborah Fraser (56) passed dead on Sunday, May 15, 2022, according to multiple sources who verified the news to Daily Sun.

Daily Sun spoke with two music professionals who worked closely with the popular singer over the years, and they confirmed her passing.

A few weeks ago, on 22 April, Deborah from KwaMashu, KZN, disclosed to the People’s Paper that she was in poor health and therefore unable to move.

 

 

 

 
Deborah confessed that she was diabetic several years ago.

She began her career in 1985 as a backup vocalist and released her debut solo album, Abanye bayombona, in 2000. The album has sold in excess of one million copies. Uhambo is her tenth studio album and contains fourteen tracks, including the hit Ngeke ngiyeke ukuthandaza.

Following a brief illness, we regret to notify you of the demise of our dear mother, sister, aunt, friend, and gospel musician, Deborah Fraser. She died away today (Sunday) after noon, surrounded by family and friends.

As the family of Deborah Fraser, we would appreciate time to understand and deal with this awful situation.
