The matter of trust is something that James and Imani are struggling to have in their marriage which is something that might cause them to separate, because of the bad things that James thought Imani was doing his son Lesedi who was seriously Injured in the house.

 
This comes after Imani found the cameras that James was installed in the house so that he can check the movement of his wife and if he abusing his child, but after founding out that Imani was good to Lesedi, and James started to panic that Imani will find those cameras and causes havoc in the house.

But it happens as he was thinking because Imani found those cameras and started to panic in the house and now their marriage is under a serious threat, because Imani has been undermined by James for a long now and he doesn’t trust him anymore which makes tho fs difficult for her.
