Zinhle Zuma’s role in House of Zwide originated as a way for Bra Carter to assist Soka. Cindy was supposed to distract Soka from his feelings about Ona. She did not allow the failure of her first attempt at courting Soka deter her from her goal. As a result, she encounters Ona on the streets with Soka and confronts the man.

Many people were so impressed by her acting ability that they wanted to learn more about the woman who played Cindy. When Ona notices Soka mumbling his words in Cindy’s sight, she decides to do her inquiry.
