South Africans are saddened by the death of a well-known former EFF member. This is another case of gender-based violence and femicide in the country. Where the rate of violence is very high, to the point where on a daily basis people become victims of this violence, especially women and young girls.

 

 

 
Losing a child is heartbreaking, and losing them to being killed in the most brutal manner and having their body dumped like they meant nothing while they were alive is much more heartbreaking. Many parents in South Africa have become victims of this, where their youngest were attacked by criminals, kidnapped by criminals and tortured by criminals.

This has become something that citizens have begged the government to deal with before most people become victims of gender-based violence as well as femicide.

It is unfortunate that the daughter of former EFF member Godrich Harder was kidnapped and killed execution style. She was last seen at Spar purchasing items, then an unknown man took her, and the three-year-old she was with was left stranded. Hillary’s body was then found dumped in a bush outside of Mpumalanga. When she went missing, a post was shared that if anyone was able to find her, a reward would be given. Unfortunately, she has passed on.

Today, May the 7th, 2022, is the funeral of the young woman whose heart was left broken by her death. Many well-known people attended her funeral and even loved gospel singer Dr Rebecca Malope. Rebecca Malope has been one of the most recognised and respected gospel singers in South Africa.

She was performing at the funeral and was receiving many praises from people because of her tribute to Hillary Gardee. Many of the people were left emotional after Rebecca Malope’s performance. May the soul of Hillary rest in perfect peace.
