“Zahara’s Situation Is Painful “

It is true when they say life is full of ups and downs. One minute everything is going well and the next minute its all tears, confusion and sadness. The South African singer and song writer Zahara is just going through the most. It is said that creditors of the residence in Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg want to put her house up for auction on May 7. The bank want to auction her townhouse.

Zahara is struggling to pay her R1.9m loan as a result Nedbank could put Zahara’s Roodepoort home on auction on Saturday 7 May. City Press issued that the Loliwe hitmaker’s R1.9 million loan was finalised on 25 July 2012. After that she has been failing to pay back the loan. In April 2018 the bank signaled that she was not paying the loan. Which then resulted in the bank to issue of notice of motion and it was filed at the Johannesburg High Court.

In October 2019 after six months of failing to pay the money she owed the bank, the high court then managed to grant an execution order against Zahara’s Roodeport house. It was reported that her montly payments amounted to R17 665, 40. It was further reported that Zahara’s home will be put up for auction on Saturday 7 May.

For me Zahara’s situation is so heartbreaking. This really shows that people need to be financially literate. Get financial advisers especially when they get a lot of money. When many celebrities have a lot of money they just waste it on useless things until it is finished and then come and cry on social media for sympathy. I do not feel sorry for Zahara because when she spent that money she was alone but now she is crying for sympathy on social media. This should be a lesson to her to be money wise in the future and invest as much as she can. We all have our own problems we dealing with. She should also be accountable for her own mess
