Single and Mingle: Viewers blame Eskom for Njabulo’s unsuccessful date

Single and Mingle is a show on Moja Love that helps regular people find their true match on national television. It’s become a fast favourite for viewers across social media who love to discuss the moments that occur.

This week loadshedding got in the way of a possible connection

Njabulo is an unemployed man with three children who was looking for love. He was trying to make ends meet by selling chips on the side of the road. His date, Mimi was in the same boat with

him but her hustle involves selling kota’s (bread with chips, russians, acthaar and various condiments)

They seemed compatible with each other on paper. However, when Njabulo showed up in a wrinkled shirt it just became obvious that load shedding was to blame. It seemed clear that Mimi was rightfully turned off by him looking quite unkempt and it inhibited a true connection between them.
