It is very common for guys to lie and say they have dated someone, even though in reality it did not happen. They are afraid that if they tell the truth, people are going to laugh at them and say they are losers, so they tend to give them what they want to hear, which is false information.
And this does not always apply to guys alone; even the ladies can sometimes decide to lie depending on the situation that they are in, because to maintain your status, you have to prove to people that you are up there chilling with the big boys.
According to the source, MacG lied on one of his podcast shows that he had dated Lamiez Holworthy, but she denied the claim.
MacG stated that he ran into a lot of people in the entertainment industry with whom he has issues because of what he said on his podcast. One of those people was Khuli Chana, the wife of Motswako rapper Khuli Lamiez. September Mac G revealed in an older episode from last year that he and the DJ dated years ago, but he ended things with her because she was “moving too fast,” according to Briefly.co.za.

“Lamiez brought up the old episode and asked why he was telling people they were dating, to which MacG answered by reminding her of their brief relationship. The DJ indicated she doesn’t recall them dating, according to the podcast host.”
I don’t think it is wise for people to lie about something of this nature, and people need to learn to tell the truth regardless of the cost, because it becomes more embarrassing when those people that you said that you have been seeing deny the allegations.
