END OF THE ROAD: MaMkhize suffers a major defeat in International Court

Flamboyant businesswoman and media personality, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize has reached end of the road and there is no going further now.

After 11 months battle with her team, Royal AM, trying to claim the league title ( GladAfrica championship), all stops have been closed for her and she has lost a lot money.

While many is not the matter to her, considering that she is filthy stinking rich but losing all cases like this must have been draining even emotionally, not just financially.

The legal saga started in 2021 after the arbitration awarded Sekhukhune FC of three points despite Royal AM being the one who finished on top. The dispute involving Polokwane City fielding an ineligible player resulted in them (Polokwane City) being stripped three points which was given to Sekhukhune.

MaMkhize tried all courts in order to get justice and still she lost. She once filed the case at the Constitutional court which was rejected. Not wanting to give up, the KwaMaMkhize star and her team took the matter to the highest sports court in the world, the International Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

Unfortunately, the CAS rejected grounds to appeal. Had this case got heard further, it would have thrown the DStv Premiership and GladAfrica seasons in disarray.

This ruling of the highest decision-making court in sports means that there will be no further recourse for appeal on this case for Royal.

The CAS ruled that it has no jurisdiction to hear the appeal filed by Royal AM and also ruled the team pay the National Soccer League ( PSL in this case) and Sekhukhune United a contribution of 4,000 Swiss Francs (R64 000) each towards the legal costs incurred.

Currently, MaMkhize’s team is doing wonders in the PSL as they’re in the second place on top of the log and looks like they will finish there and even go to CAF.
