Yvonne ChakaChaka-Mahinga is an internationally recognized South African singer, songwriter, actress, teacher, businesswoman, humanitarian and brand ambassador . She is vibrant and active and smart woman with massive thoughts on how to make her life better. She started her singing

career at the age of sixteen years old . She has been in the music industry for a long time and her music has no boundaries as she has touched several people around the globe .

 

 

 

 
As she grew up, she would use a broom as a makemake-believe microscope or use a tin to make music . She is a member of local church assembly and a member of the choir . She received a name Princess of Africa after a 1990 tour in neighboring countries Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Gabon, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast . Her hit song Umqombothi was featured in the opening scene of the 2004 movie Hotel Rwanda . She is also a proud mother of four grown children and a wife of Mandlalele Mhinga and the couple were married in 1989 . She knows how to balance her work and her family and she is very supportive.

She awarded the World Economic Forum Crystal Award by the World Economic Forum in Switzerland . She is also a respected Goodwill ambassador and music icon . She appeared on the show Sugar Shack in 1981 ,and she was the first black child to appear on television .
