Meikie (Harriet Manamela) was recently released from prison, much to the community’s dismay.
And instead of being welcomed back with open arms, the community of Turfloop aren’t ready to forgive her after she attempted to murder her best friend MaNtuli (Dieketseng Mnisi) and her husband John’s (Africa Tsoai)’s love child Kwaito (Clement Maosa) last year.
After all, Meikie was meant to serve 15 years behind bars, but with her lawyer’s appeal, she’s served just three months. And now with a shooting taking place in Turfloop just a month after her release, the people she once called her friends think that she’s involved and could be ready to killer again.
Meikie is desperate to clear her name and she’ll do everything it takes to make sure that the police don’t take her down for something she swears she had no hand in.
Her time in prison has given Meikie the luxury to piece a puzzle together for the police that’s crucial in their shooting investigation that the community thinks she committed.
Meikie seems to have some inside information. She remembers bits and pieces from things she has seen or heard in prison. But the community is ready to go into mobjustice mode, until Captain Malebana (Arthur Molepo) come to Meikie’s aid.
Malebana pleads to the community, telling them that Meikie is innocent and she’s working with the police to solve the crime.
