Nothando Ngcobo, born on 1 November 1994, is a 27 year old South African actress best known for her role of Hlelo on Uzalo: Blood is Forever which plays on SABC 1. Nothando was born on 1 November 1994. She was born and raised in Hammarsdale, Mpumalanga province in South Africa. Nothando always wanted to become an actor since she was a child. In 2014 she relocated to Johannesburg to pursue her studies and career. She received acting training from The Market Theatre in South Africa and completed her course in 2017. Her religious views are of Christianity and always thanks God whenever she reaches a milestone.
When she landed a role on Uzalo she was grateful to God and to her mother for being supportive. In a statement she titled Speech she said,” Glory to the most High God and my guides. To my mommy, I love you. From the time I was a little girl you have always encouraged me to go for everything I want. Thank you for taking me to that first audition. Nothando started her acting career during training in theatres. She made her debut appearance on television when she appeared as an extra on Mzansi Magic drama, Isibaya and Daily Sun Movie, My 4- 5 Just Sleeps.
Her debut on films came when she featured on a film called The Swallow Falls On in 2017. The film was shoot while she was still doing her theatre training and she was even nominated for Simon Sabela Awards for Best New Comer in film alongside Xolile Gumede, Zikhona Mkhize and Ayanda Ngoma. In 2016, she landed her first role on a film called One Time Pin by KZN films and Inbox images. She later won the Best Actress in a TV movie award at Rustenburg film festival in Nov 2021.
