It is indeed over for the seasoned actress who has dumped the popular etv telenovela, Imbewu the Seed. What raises alarm is that she is not the first actor or actress to leave this soap over pay issues. Lot other actors have left this Durban based show for the same particular reason.

 

 

 
Let me mention the few, not so long the most loved and talented actor, Nkanyiso Mchunu who played the role of Nkululeko Bhengu left the show because of salary dispute. He was replaced by former Uzalo actor, Kay Sibiya who is now playing his character. Mchunu left because of salary issues.

Also the legendary actor, Muzi Mthabela who now acts on Generations The Legacy, left this soap because of the same issues. Last year, Fundiswa Zwane, who initially played the role of KaMadonsela, left the soap because of the very same thing, she wanted increase, instead she got shown the road and now she is on Skeem Saam.

This week, Mzansi Celebrity News © learnt of the news that Brenda Mhlongo who currently plays KaMadonsela has reportedly dumped Imbewu.

According to the reports, Imbewu offered her a lower-paying call actor’s contract last year in 2021. This means that she was now going to be paid per shoot instead of monthly wage.

Sources have revealed that Mhlongo dumped Imbewu on March and handed her resignation. She has allegedly joined the 1Magic’s leading telenovela, The River and already relocated to Johannesburg to start filming the show.

Apparently Imbewu is doing cost-cutting to half of the cast and crew last year, well Mhlongo did not take kindly to that, considering that she is a big actress, she decided to quit.

Imbewu should get their house in order or they will keep on losing many good and talented actors if they’re continuing to do like this.
