The flooding that is currently happening in Durban which has caused massive flooding and houses destroyed, roads submerged and people losing their lives. This past week Durban has been the talk of the town and it was no different when actress and television presenter Bonnie Mbuli had her say.

 

 

 
Taking to twitter on Wednesday afternoon, the actress said that beyond the floods happening in KwaZulu Natal there seems to be another problem facing Durban in particular, she said Durban seems to be suffering from a urban decay, which is described as when a previously functioning City falls into disrepair and disuse. Mbuli went further and said that there seems to be a “blanket of darkness” over Durban, and you can actually feel it when you are there.

This was met with different opinions with some people agreeing with her while some seemed to be in disagreement with her, especially people residing in Durban. Other people who were in agreement with Mbuli blamed the African National Congress(ANC) provincial leaders for neglecting the Durban city, which was previously known to be one of the best run cities in the country.
