CASTING NEWS: Sonia Mbele Joins A New Series

Actor and business woman Sonia Mbele rose to fame after her iconic role on Generations. She is popularly known for her role as Ntombi from 2003-2011. That opened a lot of doors for the actor as SABC 2 gave her a lead role on Phamokate. In January it was announced that her production company is set to produce the 3rd season of The Real Housewives Of Johannesburg. Join us as we unpack more of the story below.

Entertainment Commentator Phil Mphela has revealed that Sonia is going to be part of Blood and Water season 3 that is currently in production. Popular streaming service Netflix has hinted a new cast this includes Ama Qamata, Thabang Molaba and Khosi Ngema. As it stands it hasn’t been revealed as to what role Sonia is assigned with but be rest assured that she’s gonna kill it.

If you haven’t watched both seasons you have missed out on an action packed storyline that explores the lives of students and their families. In the twist of that there’s love triangles, questionable individuals, and mysterious disappearances – there’s a lot going on. Season 1 was the one that gained a lot of traction considering that most of us where looked indoors during the hard lockdown. Viewers reactions are not so exciting this time around, some have even stated that season 3 is unnecessary and should be scrapped.
