Musician Kelly Khumalo has a lawyer that is watching brief at the murder trial of five men accused of killing her then boyfriend and baby daddy Senzo Meyiwa.
The Meyiwa family and his baby mama, they are hoping to find closure as the state is preparing to lead its evidence in the trial of five suspects accused of the football star’s murder in 2014, during what is described as a botched robbery.
“We all know it’s been eight years, South Africans want answers”. The lawyer of Kelly Khumalo, Magdalene Moonsamy said.
Moonsamy also added saying “she is very positive, she is of good spirit. She has been looking forward to this and it’s now here”.
The trial began on Monday, but was then postponed to Tuesday when the defence lawyer requested time to consult with her client accused number five Sifisokuhle Ntuli, after the prosecution had introduced new witnesses statements who requested to be put in witness protection first.
