Just like her fiery character in Imbewu, Brenda Mhlongo went on a rampage and she is in trouble.

The Sunday World newspaper reports that Mhlongo had an uncomfortable incident on set and she allegedly resorted to violence.

The actress aged 42 apparently choked one of the producers over a misunderstanding on set.

 

 

The producer had to scream for help after Mhlongo choked her. The sources say when Mhlongo was asked why she did it, she said that she “got too much into her character and the dlozi took over”.

One source, who did not want to be named to protect his job, told Sunday World that it was bound to happen because the conditions the actors are working under are toxic. The source said there has been a lot of tension on set since the new management of the show took over.

Imbewu has in the past dismissed a number of actors due to ill discipline. The latest incident has been downplayed by ETV and it has not been made public.

Mhlongo did not respond to the questions posed to her by the Sunday World.
