Dimpho Mvundla, a 27 year old winner of Big Brother Mzansi, has revealed that she put a bit of snuff inside a R40 note so that she would be able to speak to her ancestors during her time in the Big Brothes house and she believes that was her recipe for success.
Dimpho is from JHB, Daveyton. She broke a record by being the 1st female ever to win Big Brother Mzansi. She went away with a staggering price of R2 million from the Big Brother show that was televised live day and night on Mnet Channel 198 and on Mzansi Magic on Sundays.
She was known as’ ‘Mpho Wabadimo’ on the Big Brother show. She was announced as a winner on Sunday after spending 71 days living in Big Brother’s house.
Speaking to Ilanga newspaper, Dimpho said:
“Every person who was there had a common goal in mind, and that goal was money, so it wasn’t easy for me to easily trust them, because you never really know what they think of you behind your back.”
She also revealed that before she went to the Big Brother show, she first contacted her ancestors as she is a person who works with them in terms of helping other people and herself as well.
“I am a person who is highly opinionated, so before I went, I had to speak my mind to my ancestors about me wanting to go to a show that would take me away from them for 3 months. I had to stop my calling for months, but I was lucky that they agreed and let me go. ”
“But that doesn’t mean i knew i was going to win, I just had hope,”
She also revealed that there was too much pressure for her because some people she stayed with at the Big Brother house sometimes accused her of bewitching them.
“I always made it clear that i am traditional healer and not a magician.”
She said what she is proud of is that she was able to show people that if you are a traditional healer you are also a human being.
