King Misuzulu decided to abandone his uMembeso ceremony at Farmers Hall, Newcastle, on Saturday afternoon after his traditional healer told him life was in danger.

The king was celebrating with his fiance Queen Ntokozo kaMayisela for the uMembeso ceremony when he received a terrifying tip-off from his healer, Dr 3 Seconds.

Although the specific details of the threat remain unclear, it appears that Dr 3 Seconds predicted an assassination attempt, and hastily told the king so that he could be taken to safety.

Dr 3 Seconds said it was his duty as a traditional healer to save the king’s life by requesting that His Majesty leaves immediately.

“On Saturday I advised the king to leave. You can’t understand this because it’s spiritual and a gift from God. I am a traditional healer for kings. The late His Majesty King Goodwill kaZwelithini was close to me,” he told reports.

“I am the only traditional healer who advised President Ramaphosa to free Jacob Zuma and prevent looting and rioting before it even started. He never listened and the outcome was ugly.”

A member of the Zulu Royal Household who spoke on condition of anonymity said the king’s life was under threat as there may have been agents present who were sent to assassinate him.

Royal Household liaison officer Prince Thulani Zulu, who was programme director on Saturday, confirmed that the king left the ceremony unexpectedly due to unforeseen circumstances.

“The king left before the event ended but I continued with the programme. I can’t comment on the security issue because officials are designated to do that particular job,” he said.

The king’s spokesperson Prince Africa Zulu said the king is safe and in good health.

“The event was a great success. However, if the King is advised to leave he must do so. This will pass, people must calm down. We all know the King’s security is conducted in a western way.”

People congratulated the royal rebels as they came out to support King Misuzulu for the first time since he was named as the monarch.

Royal rebels Princess Thembi Zulu Ndlovu and two wives of the late King Zwelithini KaBhekuzulu, Queen Thandekile MaNdlovu of Lindu Zulu and Queen Zola Lamafu of Ondini Palaces were present.
