Background
Big Brother Mzansi came back for another season after 7 years of waiting, the reality Tv show lauched it’s 3rd season in South Africa on 23rd January 2022, and the housemates were set to compete for the grand prize of R2 million.
The 3rd season lasted for 70 days, housemates played their games, survived nominations and evictions and only five housemates made it through to the last day.
The five remaining housemates who survived till the last day were, Tulani ‘Tulz’ Madala (28), Libo Njomba (32), Themba Kagiso Mabasa (30), Gershwin Brandon ‘Gash1’ Mthombeni (28) and MphoWaBadimo Michelle Mavundla (27).

The season finale was aired this past sunday, 3rd April 2022. Three housemates, Tulz, Libo and Themba were evicted during the live show leaving Gash1 and MphoWaBadimo as the last two standing.
The competition was down to the two, and MphoWaBadimo became victorious, she was crowned the winner of Big Brother Mzansi season 3, and became the first female winner of Big Brother Mzansi.
When every Big brother live show ends, they normally show the voting polls, showing how much each housemate got in percentage compared to the rest. The season finale was different, everyone who voted waited for the voting polls at the end of the show and the results were never shown.
It became a topic on social media as too why the voting polls were not shown, until media commentator Phil Mphela shared that there has been a mistake, the voting polls were supposed to be shown after the show, he also shared that the voting polls will be released.

MphoWaBadimo won with 36,45%, beating Gash1’s 29.17%.

Social media was not impressed with this, the fact that the results took more than 24 hours after the show ended to be shown is just not on. People vote day in and day out, they deserve to be shown this on time.
