She has been trending of late after she announced her much-talked-about return on the small screen after going awol on Mzansi for months. Celebrated star actress Dawn Thandeka King has announced that she is returning on set after she disappeared due to health reasons.
Mzansi was more than impressed to see their favorite lead actress is back on DiepCity’s set. Dawn Thandeka King hasn’t been one set for more than a year and hasn’t been walking for the better half of the year. She was out because she was nursing her injured knee, but she seemed fine after all.
Taking it to Instagram, she posted:
“This, I have missed, what a journey, Thank you, God… for another opportunity to do what I love, the only thing that heals me. I am indeed back on my feet again; thank you, God, and my ancestors. Thank you to everyone that supported me during this journey.”
A few months ago, she had to share several videos to confirm that she had a fractured leg after the rumor mill implicated her in pregnancy drama.
Back with a bang: Dawn Thandeka King returns to DiepCity’s set
Several tabloids had it that the actress was off the hook because she was pregnant; however, it was not true. In the mix of things, she was implicated in a daring Uzalo return barely after she joined DiepCity.
DiepCity was threatened with a mass exodus of its cast after it was reported that the showrunners were paying well less than expected. Dawn Thandeka King and Mdudusi Mabaso were some of the lead actors who were rumored to be considering an exit from the Mzansi Magic drama series.
Close sources have it that DiepCity salary woes took a toll on the seasoned actress, making her reconsider a return to KwaMashu. Despite all being said, the issues regarding salaries were resolved. After all, we cant wait to see the bubbly actress we all love to hate back on screen. No doubt she comes with drama capped with thrills.
