Kiernan Forbes aka AKA aka Super Mega has proved himself to be one of the GOATs of South African Hip-hop. Numbers don’t lie, and 50 million plays backs it all up.

AKA had been around for over a decade in the game. From his breakout hits like Vicory Lap to one of his greatest songs Fela in Versace, the Mega has been giving us good music for a long time.

 

 

It’s not a small achievement at all. It’s a really big one, considering the South African music industry and how much people bootleg and pirate music.

This is well deserved, it proves that good music still sells. This is not only a reflection on AKA himself as an artist but also his fanbase. The Megacy, which is what he calls his fans, have proved to be one of the most loyal fans ever. They don’t only defend him on Twitter but they also actually buy and stream his music.
