It has been an emotional week for Sabc workers in the Free State after hearing about the death of their colleague Thabo Katsande who passed away during the weekend due to heart diseases, and his colleagues were never expecting this to happen to him because they never updated anyone about his state of health.

The station hosted a memorial service today in Bloemfontein to pay their tribute to the man that has served the public broadcaster with all his heart, they describe him as a humble person who was committed to his job and had the love to other people and his achievements can speak for himself.

He will be buried this week in Phuthaditjhaba in the Free State we’re many presenters will also attend his funeral.

The station has also announced they will be hosting another memorial service on Thursday live on air so that those who didn’t know him can hear from his friends and family.
