As aforementioned in our previous article, Etv has an exciting telenovela in the pipeline and it’s due to aire in April. This comes after it’s new revised agreement with Multichoice that scraped it’s movie channel from Dstv and ended up aggravating a lot of viewers. New cast members have been announced to join the show and we have decided to share that with you below.

Entertainment Commentator Phil Mphela has revealed that Nkayiso Makhanya and Linda Sobeza are going to be featured in the upcoming telenovela titled The Black Door. The storyline of the show is centered around prostitution and will aire in April. It has been produced by the award winning Black Brain Pictures which has created prime time entertainment shows like Diep City on Mzansi Magic.

Background of the actors

I’m sure many of you are quite familiar with the faces. It’s a good representation of young ond old actors that have nailed each and every role assigned to them. Nkayiso Makhanya has gained traction from SABC 1’s Uzalo, taking on the role of Njeza – who is now incarcerated due to abusing his fiancé. Linda Sobeza is my absolute fave due to here beautiful performance on Isithembiso, Isibaya and Lockdown.

OPINION

It seems like The Black Door is going to be very exciting. Should it be given the same slot as The Queen, there’s a huge potential that many people are going to ditch it and switch to eTV (I’m also part of those people).
