Gauteng Province MEC is allegedly planning to give the legendary musician Zola 7 a job at the Department of Sports, Arts and Recreation.

 

 

 

MEC Mbali Hlophe paid Zola 7 visit at his home on Friday to discuss plans to integrate him into the Department of Sports, Arts Culture and Recreation programmes to help him get back on his feet. One of the programmes would be for Zola to use his voice to highlight issues such as depression, substance abuse and financial management.

The department also plans to make use of Zola at schools to address the youth, something the star is passionate about.

Zola 7 whose real name is Bonginkosi made the headlines last weekafter it was reported that he was down and out. The videos of him not looking like he’s well circulated on social media which later created the public’s concern about his health and wellbeing. His financial struggles were highlighted and there was a mass public outcry to help him get back on his feet.
