Broadcasters exposed by uKhozi FM, have found a new home on Newcastle-based radio station, Mvula 98.5 FM.
Minenhle “Minimizer” Masondo and Nqobile “Modelkaz” Dlamini, are some of the broadcasters who won an interview with Linda “Mr Magic” Sibiya at Black Rock Casino, Newcastle, on Saturday.
The ladies will be remembered for entering a competition aimed at finding a female broadcaster. They are currently joining Mr Magic, the first presenter of the Sizweni monthly station in Newcastle, Phumlani “Dr Mngcwab’uyahlehla” Dlamini. The for-profit radio station will be competing in KwaZulu-Natal with Gagasi FM, Vuma 103 FM and East Coast Radio.
Minenhle (31) from Nongoma said she was very happy to be hired by a top station because people would be able to feel her talent.
“This is an opportunity I’ve been looking forward to. I know my fans will be thrilled to hear me on the big radio show,” Minenhle concluded.
Minenhle still has broadcasting experience on her return from Zululand FM and Nongoma FM but these days he broadcasts on Rise FM in Mtubatuba. Nqobile (23) from Dumbe, said she was in a hurry to show off her talent. He also has experience in the field since returning from Siyathuthuka FM and was even nominated for the Satma Awards.
He is also the DJ who released the house band titled Respect . He said Mvula FM listeners hid a stick in the manure. Mngcwab’uyahlehla said they were ready and would start broadcasting next month but would start by training the broadcasters before putting them on air. He said there are other celebrities who will show up when the first day is approaching on air.
