South African actress Busisiwe Xaba who played the role of Palesa on Generations The Legacy, has turned to serve God; she is now a pastor in real life. On Generations The Legacy, the Palesa Matema role was an elder sister of Lerato –the role played by Candice Modiselle.
The Matema sisters were abandoned by their mother and struggled to put food on the table, Lerato lived with the Diale family while Palesa moved from job to job to sustain herself. Palesa was introduced into prostitution due to desperation, where she met some of the powerful people, including Minister Walter Nkaba and Kumkani Phakade. She was involved in a relationship with Detective Dali Malinga, whom she nearly married. Over the Generations The Legacy storyline, Palesa experienced the worst and committed insurance fraud when her mother passed away. She was arrested and served jail time where she became a ruthless gang leader who helped Nontle – the role played by Buntu Pets to expose prison living conditions.

Busi has performed on various platforms; her interest is in portraying deep-seated matters that dwell in the human soul. Over her short career on the small screens, she played a supporting cast role on Diamond City. The Palesa role on Generations The Legacy opened doors for her and gave her much-needed exposure.
Ever since her exit on Generations The Legacy, Busisiwe pursued her dream in photography and videography. She formed a media company called AnávoArts which mainly focuses on Videography, photography editing, and fashion production.
She received a calling in the pastoral ministry and is now a Youth Pastor at Yahwe Kingdom Ministries, a move she describes as an instruction from God.
