Connie Ferguson Teases Next Project After The Queen’s Cancellation

Owner of Ferguson Films, Connie has revealed what comes next after the cancellation of their flagship show, The Queen.

It comes after Multichoice confirmed reports from entertainment commentators that the popular show is being canceled after seven years.

Ms Ferguson took to her Instagram story and said the new season of Kings of Joburg was on the way.

She shared a behind-the-scenes Instagram story that was posted by TV producer Sabelo Mgidi. The message from the TV producer read, “KINGS OF JOBURG SEASON 2! After several months with the pen, it’s finally time!!! The KINGS ARE BACK!”

Sabelo also said he hopes his Grootman (the late Shona Ferguson) will be proud of the team at Ferguson Films.

 

 

 

Connie’s late husband Shona Ferguson took to his social media account that Kings of Joburg will be making a comeback to Netflix three months before he passed away from Covid-19.

“I have news. My news is Kings of Joburg Season Two is coming,” said Shona.

Season one of the Kings of Joburg starred Shona Ferguson, Gomora actors Zolisa Xaluva and Thembi Seete, The Queen actors Cindy Mahlangu and Sk Khoza and The River actors Tsholofelo Matshaba and Lunathi Mamphofu as well asTokollo Sebothoma and Abdul Khoza and Buhle Samuels.
