Cassper Nyoves admits about his relationship with Riky Rick during the memorial service

Friday was such an emotional day as Mzansi remembered the late music icon, Riky Rick at a memorial service.

The rapper was laid to rest on Tuesday this week after a private funeral ceremony.

One of the people who spoke at his memorial service and opened up, it’s his then best friend, Cassper Nyovest.

The two had such a very close friendship which was super special. Cassper had been very devastated with the passing of Mr Boss Zonke and often showed how much he misses him.

In the memorial service, Cassper admitted how Riky Rick’s persistence led to them burying the hatchet. Riky died when he wanted to bury the hatchet with Cassper and he actually revealed it last year during one of his interviews.

Cassper admitted that he regretted not telling Riky how much he loved one of his latest videos where he sings, Sondela.

He stated how he loved hearing Riky sing more than him rapping him. He always encouraged him to sing.

Cassper stated how he regrets not being able to tell him how much he loved that video and how much he loved hearing him sing again

Mufasa, as he calls himself that way, laughed as he reflected on how handsome Riky was.

“Riky was one of my Idols. Riky was everything I wanted to be. One of the things I never told him- I don’t know if it’s because of toxic masculinity or what – was the fact that I really sad he was such a beautiful man. Riky was so handsome that, even as a guy, you’d have said that ‘Hayi man! The broer is too much!”.

He added by saying tbit only was Riky beautiful but he was a beautiful soul.

In closure of his speech, Nyovest said he felt Riky was misunderstood and was criticised too much.

He stated how crazy it is is that everyone is cheering on Riky on for the things he did, but while he was alive, he didn’t get that love.
