Durban Gen’s Dr Mbali Mthethwa worked as a promoter before the fame

On Monday South Africa’s well known actress Nelisiwe Sibiya who portrays the lead role of Dr Mbali Mthethwa on etv’s drama series has dedicated the day to motivate her fans and followers on Instagram who have not yet reached their career pinnacles. On the day the 29 year old KZN born actress has since taken to the popular platform to share a series of her throwback pictures before the fame where she worked as a promoter at The Glen mall on a part-time basis.


 

 

 

 

 

According to Nelisiwe Sibiya back then during her early days as a hustler she used to work a 3-5 hour shift and was rating R80 to R100 an hour. Furthermore she would also go to share that she used most of her earnings to travel from province to province attending auditions in search of better opportunities.

In addition she would further go to share that during her trips to get the most out of her salary she did not spend too much on accommodation but prefered to stay with a friend or a family member on the condition that she helps out with groceries. Lastly Nelisiwe Sibiya who is not only an actress but also a singer would go to share that her meteoric rise to stardom would not have been possible if it was not because of the almighty God.

Nelisiwe Sibiya who is now a household name in South Africa has also previously opened up about some of the struggles she had to go through to realise her dreams. Not so long ago she shocked many of her fans and followers on Instagram where she revealed that before the fame she slept in a bathroom at a mall for six months.
