It has been confirmed by close friends and family that she passed on last night at around 10pm, just before she was scheduled to do an interview on radio.

Roberts is well known for her extensive work in the media industry. She has worked on various television shows including the first season of tabloid magazine shows, “The Real Goboza”, “Headlines” and most recently “Trending SA’. Roberts has also worked on radio as a presenter on Kaya 959 FM co-hosting a show with Bob Mabena. She also worked in print publication, editing for Pace magazine, being a journalist for Drum magazine and for her most popular column on Sunday World newspaper, “The B*tch’s Brew”.

Kuli Roberts also dabbled into acting, appearing on the popular Mzansi Magic telenovela, The Queen. Even though her acting chops did not impress the viewers, Kuli said she enjoyed her short stint on the show. Kuli recently starrd on a Netflix original film titled Angelina. She had also expressed that her next venture in the entertainment industry space would be to try her luck at being a club DJ.

With everything that Kuli Roberts has tried out careerwise, it came as no surprise to many when it was annouced that she was running for councillor in her ward under the African Transformation Movement (ATM) party. Kuli, however, came out guns blazing refuting the reports and making it clear that she was not a politician. She expressed how the lies about her joining politics also put a dent to her brand.

The family is yet to post anything on Kuli Robert’s death. Her equally famous sister, former Isidingo actress, Hlubi Mboya is still mum on the reports.

Kuli leaves behind two adult children, daughter, Tembela and son, Laeun who lives overseas.
