Ama, in full Amamkele Lithemba Qamata is a girl who always knew that she will be a star. She was born in September 2, 1998 in the Eastern Cape village of Cala in the Sakhisizwe Local Municipality. She later moved to Johannesburg with her family when she was only 3-year-old.
In primary school, Ama got a stand innovation when she was playing the character of ‘Snow White’. She played the character so well that she went on to get roles in advertisements.
In University on her second her, she decided to take a gap year when a once in a lifetime opportunity showed up in her doorstep to be play the role of Buhle Ndaba on Mzansi Magic TV show, Gomora.
And later on, she got another opportunity to play a role of Puleng Khumalo in the Netflix series, Blood & Water.
In everything she does, Ama does not fail to recognize God for His grace and glory! She is also a ture believer in Bishop TD Jakes, as revealed on her social media and publicly thanked God for giving her a great support system in her family.
The media and entertainment industry in South Africa might be dark but it seems to have done nothing to Ama Qamata and we hope that she never changes.
